With a base entry fee of $500 and two optional levels, this is the most competitive TOUR in South Carolina, paying back 100% of entry fees. The PKT series will drive participation in the qualifying events, creating positive socioeconomic impact to local community businesses and organizations.
Series Points System
The Palmetto Kingfish Tour is a 3 tournament series: Low Country Open, JIYC KMT, and Hooked on Miracles, with an aggregate competition and Championship at the Carolina Kingfish Classic. Teams will carry their points from each event to their total series aggregate.
At the end of the third event, teams will drop their one lowest event weight, and the top 2 out of 3 will determine overall points for the series. A 1 fish minimum must be weighed to count for points and to qualify your team for the PKT Championship.
The PKT abides by each qualifying event’s rules. Teams must be entered in the qualifying event to participate. PKT payouts will be paid per event.
Scoring System: For 2026, the kingfish weights will correlate to points. 35.27 lbs = 35.27 points, etc.
Qualifiers
Simple. Weigh 1 fish during the regular season and you qualify. If you fail to weigh a fish in one of the three events, you do not qualify.
